PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING

Welcome to the 2025-2026 Season of Yankton United Competitive Soccer.


By registering with Yankton United Soccer, your player will develop more competitive skills, compete in tournaments and clinics, and if they choose to move on, be prepared for High School Soccer.

Registration does not include tournament fees, travel and hotel, or uniform. Information about these items will be provided to the players and parents by your coach.

Registration is $150 PLUS a $5 Capital Funds Fee assessed for each player. This small fee will go towards the maintenance and growth of our new Soccer Complex.

Registration includes Fall, Winter (Indoor Soccer), Spring and Summer. Season begins August 1st, 2025 and ends July 31st, 2026.

Players who are U12 and younger MUST also register for Rec soccer. U14 and above have aged out of the YYSA Rec Soccer Program and will play Club Soccer exclusively.

YYSA is an all inclusive organization. All players who try out and register will play for Yankton United.

Please pay special attention to our new Volunteer requirements that will be explained further into the registration process.

Interested in Playing Competitve Soccer?

YYSA offers a competitive soccer program to players at the U9/10 - U18 age groups.  Our competitive teams train 2-3 times a week, participate in various tournaments throughout the year across the midwest region. There are additional fees to participate in this program that include covering the cost of player passes, tournaments, coach's travel, uniforms, etc. 

Don't want to play year round? Not a problem, work with your coaches on your availability and go from there!

US Soccer Age Matrix

YYSA wants to keep all families that are a part of YYSA Recreational and Competitive soccer informed about a significant change coming to youth soccer age group registrations starting with the upcoming 2026-2027 season.

US Youth Soccer, of which YYSA is a member through SDYSA, is shifting from the current calendar birth year system (January 1 – December 31) back to a seasonal/school-year system (August 1 – July 31). This change aims to better align soccer teams with school grade levels, allowing more players to compete alongside their classmates. USYS, US Club, and AYSO are adopting this change, which will impact all events YYSA competitive teams attend starting in the 2026 - 2027 soccer calendar year (August 2026).  

The current 2025-2026 YYSA soccer season will remain under the current birth year rules. Starting in fall 2026, the new August 1 – July 31 cutoff will take effect for all YYSA programming.

YYSA is committed to providing the best possible development environment for our players and will continue to work together to give our players the best opportunities to develop and be successful.
